Mulholland to publish French crime writer

Mulholland Books is to publish two books by French crime writer Bernard Minier.

Editor Ruth Tross acquired world English language rights in two books by Minier, Iced and an untitled sequel, through Andrea Fields at XO Editions. Mulholland will publish Iced in 2013.

The book opens with Toulouse detective Servaz investigating the decapitation of a horse, only for a murder to take place several days later.

Tross said: "Bernard Minier is a great new talent. I‚ am thrilled to have the chance to bring his work to an English audience. Iced is set in winter in the Pyrenees mountains, and has a chilly, tense atmosphere . . .as well as a French sensibility all its own."
